REGIONAL AND
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
2022-2023
As we build towards post-season tournaments that are PIAA-sanctioned, Regional Championships and a State Championship have been developed for PA high school girls.
Who can attend
All girls in 9th through 12th grade attending a PIAA wrestling member school are eligible and encouraged to attend their Regional tournament. This includes girls in 9th grade who competed for boys JH. Girls must attend the appropriate regional for their respective district. Girls who qualify through placement at their Regional tournament will be able to compete at States. At every post-season tournament, girls must register under their HS of attendance (unless part of a PIAA-compliant Co-op), represent their high school, and should wear their school singlet.
Weight Classes
NFHS' 13 weight classes for girls will be used for both Regionals and States. Wrestlers must make flat weight (there is no allowance, weights listed are actual weights). All wrestlers must make weight at Regionals and States. NO weight changes will be made the day of the tournament.
