INFORMATION ON THE FIRST 100 SCHOOLS AND THE 100 SCHOOL MILESTONE
On February 14, 2023, the 100th PIAA school in Pennsylvania began sponsoring girls wrestling at the high school level, which was the threshold needed for the PIAA to vote on sponsoring girls wrestling. The PIAA voted to make girls wrestling an official sport in May 2023 and took jurisdiction of the sport on July 1, 2023. Please see below for more information regarding the 100 school milestone and the schools involved in making sanctioning a reality.
